Iran unveils product import volume of its Bushehr Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 2. The southern Iranian province of Bushehr mainly imported different kinds of fabrics, automobile parts, different kinds of equipment and spare parts, pumps, bananas, electric motors, tea, etc. during eight months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through November 20, 2024), Customs Controller of Iran's Bushehr Province Ali Soleimani told reporters, Trend reports.

He reported that he imported 527,000 tons of products worth $1.7 billion over the course of eight months. The import of products increased by 20 percent in value and 28 percent in weight compared to the same period of last year (from March 21 through November 21, 2023).

Soleimani noted that the products were mainly imported from China, the UAE, the Philippines, India, Sri Lanka, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, and the UK.

To note, Iran's imports of non-oil products amounted to 24.5 million tons worth $45.1 billion during eight months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through November 20, 2024). During the eight months, Iran's imports of non-oil products increased by 6.9 percent in value and decreased by 1.73 percent in weight compared to last year (from March 21 through November 21, 2023).
