TEHRAN, Iran. Dec.17
Trend:
Iranian banks are obligated not to shut down factories which have active debts, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said, Trend reports via Iranian media outlets.
He made the remark during the visit to Yazd Province, where a spinner factory has resumed work after 8 years.
"Shutting down factories will deprive human resources, and if banks have taken ownership of any of the factories, they should keep the factories working and assign them under management of qualified people," said Raisi.
He noted that local banks have no right to shut down any plants because it would affect production and employment.
