Iran would inform the IAEA ahead of installation of new centrifuges in Fordo enrichment site, the Head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Fereidoun Abbasi said, ISNA reported .
"Fordo site is ready to be equipped with centrifuges. Centrifuge machines are under construction and we will inform the agency ahead of installation of centrifuges in the site" Abbasi told.
He then moved to Iran's activities for production of 20-percent fuel and said, "we do not stop producing 20-percent enriched fuel to meet our needs."
"We are working on fuel enrichment based on our needs and we provide fuel for Tehran reactor under the scheduled timetable. Other stages including fuel complexes are underway," he said.
Abbasi then said Iran is continuing 20-percent fuel enrichment under the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) supervision.
"We seek to operate new generations of centrifuge with low energy use and higher Separative Work Units (SWU) to raise production with the help of the machines."
He then added the country intends to build some 5 new pool-type reactors with the capacity of 10-20 megawatts for radiopharmaceuticals production.
Meanwhile regarding a recently-mentioned claim by Mojahedin Khalq Organization (MKO) that a company near Tehran is making centrifuges parts, he said, "the AEOI has decided to have centrifuges made by other countries to avoid executive projects."
"Iran's enrichment activities are entirely clear and under the supervision of the IAEA cameras and inspectors. The IAEA inspectors visit Iranian installations and sometimes have surprise visits."
