Georgia, Tbilisi/ corr. Trend N. Kirtskhalia/ The Senate of the United States of America will adopt a statement supporting the admission of Georgia and Ukraine to NATO, the Deputy Prime Minister Giorgi Baramidzeh said at the Georgian airport when he returned from the Munich Security Conference.
"It was discussed during the meeting of the Georgian President Mikhail Saakasvili and Daniel Fried, the assistant to the US Secretary of State and we were assured that we will get the support of the US during the admission to NATO," he said.
The Deputy Prime Minister said that Georgian and American relations and the possible development of Georgian-Russia relations were discussed during the meeting.
