Georgia, Tbilisi, 1 July / Trend corr. N.Kirtskhalia / The Georgian Foreign Minister stated that the population of the Galsk region is particulrly held hostage by separatists. This was said by Ekaterina Tkeshelashvili to journalists in Batumi.
"The decision to close the administrative border will cause the local inhabitants will not be able to get foods, which violate citizens' rights," Tkeshelashvili said.
The Minister considers that Georgia does not have any connection with recent explosions in Abkhazia. "This is another attempt of Russia to blame Georgia and isolate Abkhazs from Georgia," the Minister said.
