Georgia, Tbilisi, 2 July / Trend corr. N.Kirtskhalia / Temur Yakobashvili, Georgian State Minister on Reintegration issues, holds meetings in New York within the framework of his visit to the UN headquarters. Recently, Yakobashvili met with Vitaliy Churkin, Russian Ambassador in the UN.
"We touched upon the issue to stop spread the myth that Georgia refused from creation of the joint Georgian-Russian Anti-Terrorist Centre. However, this was just pure fiction," Yakobashvili said.
The issue regarding the format of the peacemaking operation in Abkhazia was also touched upon in the meeting. "We made our proposal and expressed opinion. However, the sides failed to reach common approaches," the State Minister said.
Within the framework of the visit to the UN headquarters, Yakobashvili met with heads of missions from Germany, France and Great Britain to this organization.
