About 400 Georgian solders will be sent in Afghanistan by the end of this year within frameworks of NATO program, reported PNA.
According to Batu Kutelia, deputy Defence Minister of Georgia, the solders will be placed to the North and the South part of the country.
"We are ready to send our Special Forces units wherever it is needed and wherever the operation requires. This is our offer to NATO. Georgia can also contribute other types of units manned with the soldiers who gained experience in Operation Iraqi Freedom", Kutelia pointed out.
The NATO-led, UN-mandated, International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan, or ISAF, is made up of some 36.000 personnel from every one of the 26 NATO Allies, as well as contributions from 11 NATO partner countries.
