Leader of the Free Democrats Irakli Alasania met with German Chancellor Angela Merkel's adviser for foreign affairs. They discussed the process of improving the electoral environment in Georgia, the situation in the occupied territories and the relations with Russia, the party told Trend.
"Germany can play an important role in normalizing the Georgian-Russian relations," Alasania said after the meeting.
He also held meetings at Germany's Foreign Ministry and Bundestag. Alasania will leave Berlin for Paris, where he will hold meetings at the French Foreign Ministry and Senate.
