CEC: "Georgian Dream" widens the gap

Georgian CEC continues to publish the initial results of the last parliamentary elections on Monday.

According to initial information the opposition coalition "Bidzina Ivanishvili - The Georgian Dream" continues to lead with 54.61 percent of votes.

The ruling party - "United National Movement - more benefits for people" is in second place with 40.44 percent of votes.

The Christian-Democratic Movement of Giorgi Targamadze - 2,07 percent

The Labour Party of Georgia of Shalva Natelashvili - 1.31 percent

New Rights - 0.47 percent

Jondi Baghaturia Kartuli Dasi - 0.12 percent

The people's movement - 0.02 percent

Overall, the data are calculated from 418 electoral areas of 3766.

The Ruling party still is leading in the majoritarian districts. Representatives of ruling party is leaving behind the opposition alliance "Bidzina Ivanishvili - The Georgian Dream" in most of the 73 electoral districts.

Parliamentary elections took place in Georgia on October 1, which were attended by 14 parties and two political blocs.

After the entry into force of amendments to the Constitution, Georgian Parliament in 2013 will receive more authority, the rights of the head of state would be cut.
