The Central Election Commission of Adjara has summed up the final results of the elections to the Supreme Council of the autonomy.
According to the final protocol, some 13 deputies of the Georgian Dream coalition and eight deputies of the United National Movement were elected to the Supreme Council of Adjara by a proportional and majority system.
The parties are given two days to challenge election results. The meeting of the new staff of the Supreme Council is planned for October 31.
Some 304,930 voters have been registered in Adjara. Some 184 310 people took part in the election. Some 5072 of ballots were found to be invalid. Electoral candidates received 178.905 votes.
The election results were annulled only in the 33rd electoral district in the Khulo area due to serious violations.
Parliamentary elections were held in Georgia on October 1. Around 14 parties and two political blocs participated in the elections.
According to full the preliminary data of the Georgian Central Election Commission, the Georgian Dream coalition will receive 85 seats in the parliament, and the United National Movement, 65.
The leader of the Georgian Dream coalition has introduced new candidates for ministerial posts in the new Georgian government.
Ivanishvili himself will take the post of prime minister.
