Lebanese anti-aircraft batteries opened fire on Israeli warplanes that were violating the Lebanese airspace on Wednesday, the country's state-own National News Agency reported.
The report said that Lebanese army opened fire from Chebaa Hights in south Lebanon towards Israeli warplanes at noon of Wednesday. The warplanes were not hit and then headed south, Xinhua reported.
Lebanon accuses Israel of violating its airspace on a daily basis, also a breach of UN Resolution 1701 which ended the 34-day war between Israel and Lebanese Shiite armed group Hezbollah in 2006.
Israeli Armed Forces have absolute advantages comparing to their Lebanese counterpart.
Lebanese army also opened fires to Israeli warplanes in March and February, but none of Israeli planes were hit.
