Egypt's Supreme Administrative Court ordered the political party of former Egyptian president Hosny Mubarak to be dissolved, state television reported on Saturday, DPA reported.
The formerly ruling National Democratic Party (NDP) recently named outspoken opposition figure Talaat Sadat, a nephew of the assassinated former president Anwar Sadat, as its head, replacing Mubarak.
Sadat called on leaders of the revolutionary protest movements which led to Mubarak's resignation in February to join the new party, which is renaming itself "The New National Party."
