Cote d'Ivoire, Angola strengthen military cooperation

( Xinhua ) - Visiting Defense Minister of Cote d' Ivoire Nguessam Amani Michel said here Monday his four-day work visit to Angola aimed at strengthening the bilateral military cooperation.

As the head of Cote d'Ivoire military delegation, Nguessam Michel told reporters that Angolan experiences on issues related to management of war crisis are worthy for his country to restructure its armed forces.

"Our visit to Angola is of friendship, fraternity and work and also serves to collect some experiences to come out of the crisis and learning on how Angola has managed the situation of crisis and re-structured its armed forces," said the Cote d'Ivoire minister.

During his four-day visit to Angola which will end on Thursday, the visiting defense minister will hold talks with his Angolan counterpart Kundi Paihama, meet with National Assembly Speaker Roberto de Almeida and Prime Minister Fernando da Piedade Dias dosSantos and pay visits to some military units.
