( CM ) - After an unconfirmed report spread over the blogosphere that, in his notorious off-the-air remarks about Barack Obama, Jesse Jackson had called the presidential candidate a "f*****g half-breed n****r," the website TVNewser reported that Jackson did not use such words but did use the "n" word while discussing Obama's position. What Jackson actually said was that Obama is "talking down to black people telling n*****s how to behave." The TVNewser report was later confirmed by a Fox News spokeswoman. Speculation about what Jackson had said had been touched off by comments by Fox News commentator Bill O'Reilly, who had said that cable news network did not "run some trash talk that had nothing to do with policy." On Thursday O'Reilly said on Shepard Smith's program that "some weasel" at Fox News had leaked the additional comment. "That person," O'Reilly added, "wanted to hurt Jesse Jackson." Smith then asked, "Do we know who leaked it, and what's happened to that person?" O'Reilly replied,"No, but I've got the waterboard right over here."
