The eldest daughter of US soap actor Lorenzo Lamas has ditched her wedding plans after splitting from her reality star fiance Matt Grant.
British stockbroker Grant appeared on US TV show The Bachelor: London Calling and chose budding actress Shayne Lamas to be his bride after a six-week dating game. The series ended in May (08) with a televised proposal.
However, the couple has now put an end to their rocky and short-lived relationship.
In a joint statement to People.com, they say, "We tried hard to make it work but we realised that we were both heading in different directions.
"We truly care about each other and will remain close friends".
