(showbizspy.com) - Troubled singer Amy Winehouse has been rushed to hospital in London.
Amy's spokesman, Chris Goodman, confirmed she had been taken to University College Hospital, saying, "Amy Winehouse suffered a reaction to medication at home this evening and was taken to hospital. Doctors have advised that she will be kept under observation overnight and is likely to be released tomorrow."
The 24-year-old Grammy-Award winner received hospital treatment last month for traces of lung disease emphysema, after collapsing at home.
There have long been concerns about the singer's health, with her father Mitch Winehouse expressing fears over his daughter's drug use.
The ambulance was called to her house in Camden, North London. She was carried out on a stretcher as her beleaguered father watched in horror.
Policed looked on as Amy's friends used a large blanket to shield the singer as she was hoisted into the waiting ambulance
A London Ambulance Service spokeswoman said, "We were called at approximately 8.40pm to an address in NW1 to reports of an adult female taken unwell.
"We sent an ambulance and a fast response car and the patient has been taken to hospital."
The hospital trip comes a day after the troubled singer sparked fresh fears for her health after she was photographed throwing herself to the floor and sobbing during a night out.
Amy was on her way to Stables music bar at North London's famous Proud Galleries in Camden this weekend when the incident occurred.
She was snapped crying and lashing out at her bodyguard in the early hours of Sunday morning before throwing herself on the floor.
She was then pictured punching a metal fence in frustration after her minder attempted to pick her up from the ground.
A source tells British newspaper the Daily Star, "She was in a terrible state. She left by the back door and went home in tears. She had a black coat over her head and a swollen hand. She looked awful, like her world is falling apart."
