Turkish Red Crescent on Sunday sent 11,000 packages of foodstuff carried by 10 trucks to the Palestinians in Gaza after the Israeli attack, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported.
Turkish Red Crescent Director General Omer Tasli was quoted as saying that the organization aimed to support people who suffered from difficulties all around the world and it has been extending great assistance to the Palestinians, Xinhua reported.
The packages included flour, sugar, rice, lentil, chickpea, tea, oil and dry soup and they would be distributed to 200,000 people in the region, he said.
