BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 14. A total of 744 million manat ($437.6 million) was allocated to the population of Azerbaijan for pensions, benefits, scholarships and targeted state social assistance in January of this year.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Social Protection Fund shows that this figure grew by 69 million manat ($40.59 million) or 10.21 percent compared to the same month last year.
To note, about 808.3 million manat ($475.4 million) was allocated for the above payments in 2024, which is 8.8 billion manat ($4.8 billion) or 10.08 percent more than the previous year.
