1. About our Terms
1.1. We are Trend News Agency (“Trend”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), a company registered in Azerbaijan.

1.2. These Terms and Conditions apply whenever you:
- use Trend.az, our mobile apps, digital platforms, and services (together “Trend.az”) and access the content and services available on them, including news articles, video, photo, and analytical reports (the “Trend Content”); and
- purchase access to Trend.az or Trend Content on a subscription basis (together, the "Trend Services").
1.3. You should read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using Trend.az and/or Trend Content or subscribing to the Trend Services. By accessing, using, or subscribing to any of the above, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and any documents referenced herein.
1.4. If you access Trend.az under an organisation’s subscription agreement, your access is primarily governed by that agreement. In case of conflict between these Terms and Conditions and the organisation’s subscription agreement, the latter prevails to the extent of the inconsistency.

2. Your Subscription to the Trend Services
2.1. Subscription types:
- Digital Subscriptions: access to Trend.az and mobile apps;
- Print Subscriptions: printed newspapers and magazines (where available);
- Bundled Subscriptions: combination of Digital and Print;
- Trial Subscriptions: limited-time trial access.
These are collectively called "the Subscriptions" and individually a "Subscription." Additional terms may apply to Trial Subscriptions.
2.2. One Trial Subscription is allowed. We may cancel any additional trial subscriptions without refund.
2.3. You may subscribe via Trend.az, phone, email, or live chat. Your subscription begins after successful verification of email and payment confirmation.
2.4. We aim to process subscriptions promptly but do not guarantee activation at a specific time. Each subscription is for a single user. Sharing credentials or access with third parties may lead to suspension or cancellation.
2.5. Fees and payment:
- Subscription fees are displayed during sign-up and may vary by country or subscription type.
- Prices include applicable taxes unless indicated otherwise.
- Failure to receive payment authorisation may result in immediate termination or suspension.
2.6. Trial subscriptions automatically convert into paid subscriptions at the end of the trial period unless cancelled via your account.
2.7. Any subscription fee changes will be communicated at least 14 days prior to renewal.
2.8. Refunds will be credited to the original payment method.
2.9. You are responsible for any internet, banking, or transaction fees incurred while accessing Trend Content.
2.10. Suspension of deliveries:
- Temporary suspension is allowed for Print or Bundled subscriptions (e.g., holidays).
- Credits are limited per subscription period and cannot be carried over.
2.11. Cancellation Rights:
- Digital Subscriptions: Right to cancel immediately is waived once confirmation email is sent.
- Print or Bundled Subscriptions: You may cancel within 14 days for a full refund minus pro-rated newspaper costs.
2.12. Trend may suspend or terminate subscriptions if access is legally prevented, the user breaches Terms, or abuse occurs toward staff.
2.13. Renewals:
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 14 days prior to the end of the current period.
3. Using Trend.az
3.1. Ownership: Trend.az and Trend Content, and all associated intellectual property rights, are owned by Trend or its licensors. You are granted access only as necessary to use Trend Services.
3.2. Trademarks: “Trend” and “Trend News Agency” are registered trademarks. Use is only permitted as described in our Copyright Policy.
3.3. Accessing and using Trend Content:
- Comply with our Copyright Policy.
- Subscriptions determine the amount and type of content you can access.
- Standard vs. Premium subscriptions may differ in depth of analysis and multimedia content.
3.4. User Accounts:
- You are responsible for keeping login credentials confidential.
- Report any security breaches to [email protected] immediately.
3.5. Comments and User Generated Content (UGC):
- UGC must comply with guidelines.
- Trend may use, modify, or publish UGC indefinitely without payment or attribution.
- Prohibited content includes illegal, offensive, spam, impersonation, or copyright-infringing content.
- Trend may remove UGC or ban users at its discretion.
3.6. Accuracy and availability:
- Trend strives for accuracy but does not guarantee error-free content or uninterrupted service.
- Trend Content is for informational purposes and does not constitute professional advice.
3.7. Third-party content:
Trend may link to third-party websites but is not responsible for their content, products, or services.
4. Privacy
4.1. Your privacy is important. Personal data is handled according to our Privacy Policy, which explains collection, storage, use, and sharing of your information, as well as your rights.
5. Limitation of Liability
5.1. Trend provides services “as is” and disclaims warranties to the extent permitted by law.
5.2. Except where legally prohibited:
- Total liability is limited to the fees paid for the current subscription period.
- Trend is not liable for indirect, consequential, or business losses.
6. Corporate Information
6.1. You contract with Trend News Agency for subscriptions and services.
6.2. For international subscribers, corporate entities in specific countries may be the contracting party. Details are available upon request.
7. Changes to Terms
7.1. Trend may update these Terms for legal, regulatory, or service reasons. Notice will be provided for significant changes.
8. Law and Jurisdiction
8.1. For users outside Azerbaijan, these Terms are governed by Azerbaijani law. Courts in Baku have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
8.2. For users in other countries, local laws may apply, but disputes may still be brought before Baku courts.
9. General
9.1. Trend is not liable for service failures beyond its control (e.g., strikes, pandemics, technical failures).
9.2. Rights under these Terms may not be transferred. Trend may transfer its rights to affiliates while ensuring continuity of your rights.
9.3. Invalid provisions do not affect remaining Terms.
9.4. Failure to enforce a right does not waive it.
9.5. These Terms, along with referenced documents, constitute the entire agreement between you and Trend regarding use of Trend Services.
