BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 16. Uzbekistan’s state energy company Uzbekneftegaz and U.S.-based energy technology firm Baker Hughes signed a supplementary agreement on drilling and technical support services during the Tashkent International Investment Forum.
This was reflected in a statement by Uzbekneftegaz.
The agreement is aimed at improving drilling operations through the more effective use of advanced drill bits, enhancing the quality of technical services, and ensuring the stability of production processes.
The companies noted that negotiations on optimizing the contract’s terms were successfully concluded in May, paving the way for the additional agreement.
Under the deal, Baker Hughes will expand its technical support services for drilling operations and help introduce advanced technologies and solutions designed to improve drilling efficiency and shorten well construction timelines.
The agreement reflects ongoing cooperation between Uzbekneftegaz and Baker Hughes as Uzbekistan seeks to modernize its oil and gas sector and boost operational efficiency through the adoption of advanced technologies.
