BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 17. The number of citizens receiving monthly social benefits and pensions in Azerbaijan exceeded 864,400 in April 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Social Protection Fund (SSPF)
indicates that in excess of 462,400 individuals were beneficiaries
of monthly social assistance programs, whereas more than 401,900
individuals were recipients of pension disbursements.
In April 2024, the aggregate count of beneficiaries receiving
monthly social assistance and pension disbursements surpassed
845,000. Within this demographic, upwards of 449,000 individuals
were beneficiaries of monthly social assistance, while in excess of
395,000 were recipients of pension disbursements.
