BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 23. The work to digitize social services and implement artificial intelligence continues in Uzbekistan, the deputy director of the country’s National Agency for Social Protection, Sirojiddin Abdullayev, told Trend on October 23 on the sidelines of the “SOCGOV 2026” international forum in Khankendi.

According to him, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have implemented about 20 cooperation projects in the field of social services. Based on the experience of Azerbaijan’s DOST centers, INSON centers have also been established in Uzbekistan.

Abdullayev noted that up to 80% of services in Uzbekistan are provided digitally. This allows citizens, particularly those in need of social support, to receive the necessary services without leaving their homes.

He said that, as part of the cooperation with DOST, efforts to digitize social services and apply artificial intelligence are expanding.

The agency representative emphasized that expanding digitization and minimizing the human factor are of great importance for achieving the goals set within the social protection system.

Meanwhile, an international forum titled “SOCGOV 2026: Digital Analytics for Smart Governance” is taking place in Khankendi.

The forum, organized by the DOST Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, is attended by government officials from various countries, as well as local and international experts.

The forum’s goal is to discuss opportunities for applying artificial intelligence and digital analytics in the field of social services, identify innovative solutions that promote greater accessibility, flexibility, and transparency in relations between the government and citizens, and exchange best practices in the field of smart governance.
