Azerbaijan increased the volume of chemical production from January through October 2021, Trend reports referring to the report of the State Customs Committee (SCC).
According to the report, this indicator reached nearly 568,500 tons, up by 76,287 tons (15.5 percent) on annual basis.
At the same time, the value of the chemical production in the country also grew - by almost 90.7 million manat ($53.3 million) or 2.3 times, amounting to $160.76 million.
Besides, according to the SCC, in the first 10 months of this year, over 117,000 tons of polyethylene were produced in the country, a growth of 24,700 tons (almost 26.8 percent) on annual basis and polypropylene production rose by 3,330 tons (almost five percent) - up to 70,447 tons.
Meanwhile, the volume of production of nitrogen fertilizers amounted to 215,600 tons, which is 190,300 tons (over three times) more than in 10M2020.
