BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 2. Some 87 companies in Türkiye with German capital were registered in March 2023, which is 41 companies less than in the same period of 2022, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) told TurkicWorld, Trend reports.
According to the data, in the reporting period, despite the reduction in the number of registered German companies, their total capital increased.
"During the specified period, the total capital of German companies registered in Türkiye amounted to 99.5 million Turkish liras ($5.1 million), while for the same period in 2022 this figure was at the level of 40.1 million Turkish liras ($2 million)," the report says.
In the accounting period, most of the companies (44) were registered in Türkiye's Istanbul.
"The total capital of German companies registered in Istanbul totaled 38.7 million Turkish liras ($1.9 million)," the TOBB said.
Moreover, of the total number of companies with German capital registered in the country in the third month of 2023, 31 companies operate in the wholesale and retail trade, while 8 - in the production sector. The rest of the companies are involved in other sectors of the economy.
