BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 24. Some 92 companies with Azerbaijani capital were registered in Türkiye in April 2023, which is 8 more companies than in the same period of 2022, Trend reports.
The data of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) shows that during the reporting period, along with a growth in the number of registered Azerbaijani companies, their total capital increased.
"If in the reporting period the total capital of the companies registered in Türkiye amounted to 83.5 million Turkish liras (about $41.1 million), then for the same period in 2022 this figure reached 31.9 million Turkish liras (about $1.6 million)," TOBB said in a statement.
TOBB also noted that, in the specified period, 79 Azerbaijani companies were registered in Istanbul. The total capital of registered companies amounted to 75.9 million Turkish liras ($3.8 million).
Moreover, in the accounting period, 50 wholesale and retail companies and 11 construction companies with Azerbaijani capital were registered in the country.
The rest of the companies operate in other sectors of the economy.
