BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 26. The port of Gemlik, located in the Turkish city of Bursa, received 1,300 vessels from January through May 2023, Trend reports.
According to the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, the port of Gemlik received 363 vessels under the Turkish flag, and 937 vessels under the flags of other countries during the reporting period.
The ports of Türkiye received 3,885 vessels in May 2023.
According to the information, the number of ships taken to the Turkish ports under the flags of other countries amounted to 1,674, while the number of ships under the flag of Türkiye amounted to 5,559, during this period.
Meanwhile, the ports of Türkiye received 16,388 vessels from January through May 2023.
Vessels under the flags of other countries, accepted by Turkish ports, transported 6,837 people, while vessels under the Turkish flag - 23,175 people.
