BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 30. The budget expenditures of the Unemployment Insurance Fund for 2024 are projected at a level of 238 million manat ($140 million), which is 9.32 percent, or 20.3 million manat ($11.9 million), higher than the figure for 2023, Trend reports.
This is stated in the conclusion of the Chamber of Accounts of Azerbaijan on the draft law "On the state budget for 2024".
In the structure of expenditures in 2023, the main part will be allocated for the organization of self-employment activities: 73 million manat ($42.9 million), 55 million manat ($32.4 million) for the maintenance of the staff of the Azerbaijan Public Employment Agency and its local bodies, the National Observatory on the Labour Market and Social Protection Affairs, 35 million manat ($20.6 million) for vocational training, and the organization of additional education.
In addition, in the structure of expenditures in 2024, revenues in the form of unemployment insurance payments will amount to 15 million manat ($8.8 million), which is 1.5 million manat ($882,352), or 1.1 percent more than in 2023.
In general, the budget expenditures of the Unemployment Insurance Fund are projected at a level of 217.7 million manat ($128.1 million) for 2023.
