BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 15. The average monthly nominal salary of wage earners in Azerbaijan increased by 10.2 percent from January through April 2024 compared to the same period last year and amounted to 1,007 manat ($592.1), Trend reports.
According to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, wages in the oil and gas sector amounted to 4,031 manat ($2,370), and in the non-oil and gas sector - 950.5 manat ($558.8). Salaries of employees of state enterprises amounted to 943.2 manat ($554.5) and for private enterprises - 1,077 manat ($633.2).
The highest wages were recorded for workers in mining, insurance and finance, information, and communications, as well as in the field of scientific and technical activities.
