ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 3. Turkmenistan ranks among the top ten countries with the lowest octane-95 gasoline prices as of August 26, 2024, Trend reports via the Global Petrol Prices (GPP).

GPP portal reports that gasoline in Turkmenistan costs $0.0428 per liter. This places Turkmenistan alongside several other countries with affordable gasoline, including Iran, which has the lowest price at $0.029 per liter.

The list of countries with the lowest gasoline prices also features Nigeria, Malaysia, Kuwait, Algeria, Angola, Egypt, Venezuela, and Libya.

On the flip side, the countries that really take the cake when it comes to sky-high gasoline prices are Barbados, Israel, Singapore, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Denmark, Liechtenstein, Iceland, Monaco, and Hong Kong, with Hong Kong being the absolute cream of the crop at a whopping $3.27 per liter.

As of August 26, 2024, the average price of gasoline worldwide stands at $1.32 per liter. These variations in gasoline prices are largely attributed to different national fuel taxation structures and subsidies policies.
