BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 17. Azerbaijan's chemical production saw notable changes from January through August 2024, with paint manufacturing reaching 25,345.8 tons, marking a 5.3 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023.
Data obtained by Trend from the country’s State Statistical Committee indicates that propylene production during this period was 94,000 tons, representing a decrease of 9.4 percent compared to the previous year.

In 2023, Azerbaijan produced 153,100 tons of propylene, 162,800 tons of polyethylene, 165,600 tons of ethylene, 208.1 tons of iodine, and 21.627 million cubic meters of nitrogen.
