Late September finds Turkmenistan among lowest gasoline-priced nations

ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, October 2. Turkmenistan is among the top 10 countries with the lowest prices for RON-95 gasoline as of September 30, 2024, Trend reports.

The Global Petrol Prices portal reveals that gasoline in Turkmenistan is priced at $0.0429 per liter, landing the country in the eighth spot on the list.

While the list-topper nation is Iran, with a price of $0.029 per liter.

To note, the roster of nations boasting the most wallet-friendly gasoline prices also features Malaysia, Nigeria, Algeria, Kuwait, Angola, Egypt, Venezuela, and Libya.

On the flip side, the priciest gasoline can be found in countries like the Netherlands, Switzerland, Singapore, Barbados, Finland, Denmark, Liechtenstein, Iceland, Monaco, and Hong Kong. The steepest price tag can be found in Hong Kong, ringing in at $3.279 per liter.

The average price of RON-95 gasoline in the world is $1.28 per liter as of September 30, 2024. These fluctuations in gasoline prices are largely due to differences in national fuel taxation structures and subsidy policies.
