BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 2. Azerbaijan exported 401,958 tons of methanol (methyl alcohol) worth $83,8 million in the period from January through October this year.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's State Customs Committee shows that this is $10.7 million (14.6 percent) more in value and 7,170 tons (1.8 percent) more in volume than in the same period of last year.
Methanol (methyl alcohol) exports accounted for 0.37 percent of the country's total exports over the ten months.
To note, Azerbaijan exported 394,788 tons of methanol (methyl alcohol) worth $73.1 million in the first ten months of last year.
