BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 21. The manufacturing volume of key chemical products - nitrogen, paint and varnish in Azerbaijan grew last year.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Committee shows that the total output of paint and varnish products was 41,786 tons, up 4.8 percent from 2023, and the same figure for nitrogen reached 24 million tons, marking 11.6 percent hike.
Meanwhile, propylene production in 2024 equaled 121,400 tons, which is 20.7 percent less than the indicator of the same period in 2023.

To note, Azerbaijan produced 153,100 tons of propylene, 162,800 tons of polyethylene, 165,600 tons of ethylene, 208,100 tons of iodine, and 21.6 million cubic meters of nitrogen in 2023.
