ASTANA, Kazakhstan, January 28. A state-of-the-art milking facility, unmatched not only in Kazakhstan but across Central Asia, has been inaugurated in the Tselinograd district of Kazakhstan, Trend reports.

The project was launched by LLP "Agrofirm Rodina". The opening ceremony was attended by Kazakhstan's Vice Minister of Agriculture, Amangali Berdalin, and the Deputy Akim of the region, Murat Balpan.

The launch of this facility marks a significant step toward fulfilling the President's directive to increase the share of processed agricultural products to 70 percent.

The robotic milking carousel system, made by the Swedish brand DeLaval, can handle 2,000 cows in five hours, with a simultaneous capacity of 80 cows. As a result, it requires minimal operator effort and is staffed by just 12 people per shift.

These advancements will enable the Akmola region of Kazakhstan to boost its production of commercial milk by 40,000 tons, increasing output by 1.5 times, from 90,000 to 130,000 tons. This, in turn, offers the region the potential to supply 50 percent of the capital’s population with dairy products.

Additionally, last year, five large-scale dairy farms with a capacity of approximately 4,900 head of cattle were established. This year, plans include the launch of two additional dairy farms with a capacity of 1,200 head.
