ASTANA, Kazakhstan, February 3. In 2025, it is planned to implement 10 major investment projects in Kazakhstan's Aktobe region, with a total value of 491 billion tenge ($933.1 million), Trend reports via the Akimat of Kazakhstan’s Aktobe region.
These projects include those in mining and processing industries, energy, and agriculture. They are expected to create around 1,200 jobs, which will help reduce unemployment and improve the socio-economic situation in the region.
Systematic measures to attract investments to the Aktobe region were discussed at a meeting chaired by the regional head, Askhat Shakharov.
"As part of the President's instructions, we must actively work on improving the investment climate and implementing strategically important projects for the region’s development. Our task is not only to attract new investments but also to create conditions for their effective use," stated Akim (Governor) Askhat Shakharov, outlining a number of priority tasks.
According to Doszhan Alibekov, head of the industrial and innovative development department of Aktobe, in 2024, 901.1 billion tenge ($1.71 billion) of investments were attracted to the economy of the Aktobe region, which is the result of a comprehensive effort by government bodies, business structures, and investors. The majority of the funds went to industry, transport, storage, and real estate.
To further develop and improve the investment climate in the region, a comprehensive investment attraction plan for 2025-2027 has been developed. This plan includes various measures aimed at creating conditions to attract investors, ensuring effective resource use, and implementing targeted initiatives for specific industries and enterprises.
Plans also include opening an Investor Service Center based on the "one-stop-shop" principle, which will simplify the process of obtaining permits and other necessary documents for investors, reducing administrative barriers and ensuring the most convenient conditions for business.
To note, this year, business communities from the Aktobe region of Kazakhstan are planned to visit China, Türkiye, India, and Pakistan to present the region's investment opportunities.
