BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 12. Azerbaijan exported 179,440 tons of iodine worth $10.1 million to Russia, China, India, and Italy from January through November 2024.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Committee shows that 41.44 tons of iodine worth $2.5 million went to Russia, 64 tons valued at $3.5 million - China, 54 tons ($2.9 million) - India, and 20 tons ($1.1 million) - Italy.
The total volume of the product export decreased by 16.22 tons (8.3 percent), and the value - by $3.3 million (24.9 percent) compared to the same period of the previous year (195.65 tons, with a value of $13.4 million).
To note, during the reporting period, the volume of iodine imports was 0.01 tons, with a value of $1,620.
