BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 19. The revenue generated by the public catering sector in Baku escalated to 1.7 billion manat (approximately $1 billion) in the previous fiscal year.
Data obtained by Trend from the Baku City Statistics Department shows that this figure grew by 13.8 percent or 245 million manat ($144 million) in real terms compared to 2023 (1.45 billion manat or $850 million).
In 2024, public catering turnover by legal entities in Baku amounted to 938.9 million manat ($552.29 million), which made up 55.4 percent of the total turnover.
To note, last year, the turnover of public catering in Azerbaijan increased by 13.2 percent in real terms compared to 2023 and amounted to 2.37 billion manat ($1.39 billion).
