BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 20. Total metallurgical production costs grew to 607.2 million manat ($357 million) in Baku last year.
Data obtained by Trend from the Baku City Statistical Department shows that this figure went up by 93 million manat ($54.7 million) or 18.1 percent compared to 2023 (514.2 million manat or $302.47 million).
To note, a total of 1.3 billion manat ($764 million) worth of metallurgical and finished metal products were manufactured in Azerbaijan in 2024.
The manufacturing of finished metal products grew by 38.9 percent and metallurgical products - by 27.1 percent. Whereas, manufacturing of copper wire in the metallurgical industry increased by 5.5 times, aluminum products - by 72.1 percent, fittings - by 28.7 percent, other metal products by 20.4 percent, and stranded wires without insulation, cables, and similar products by 17.9 percent last year.
