BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 21. The seaborne freight traffic in Azerbaijan was 8.6 million tons last year.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistics Committee shows that this figure decreased by 389,000 tons (4.3 percent) compared to the previous year, but grew by 1.99 million tons (30.1 percent) compared to the indicators of the last 10 years.
Thus, the volume of freight transported by sea in Azerbaijan was nine million tons in 2023 and 6.6 million tons in 2015.
