BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 22. Azerbaijan produced 13,800 tons of propylene (C3H6) in January 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the State Customs Committee indicates that this figure represents an increase of 2,900 tons, or approximately 26.6 percent, compared to the same period in January 2024.
Moreover, the stock of finished products stood at 800 tons as of February 1, 2025, which is a decrease of 300 tons, or around 27.3 percent, compared to the same time last year.
Azerbaijan's chemical industry also produced 185.3 million manat ($108.9 million) worth of products in January 2025, including pharmaceutical products, rubber, and plastic products.
Meanwhile, the country's production of chemical industry products increased by 35.9 percent compared to January 2024, pharmaceutical products by 30.2 percent, while the production of rubber and plastic products decreased by 3.7 percent.
