BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 24. Azerbaijan shelled out more than $18 million for butter and other dairy fats, racking up a hefty 2,600 tons in January 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Customs Committee indicates that this figure marks a significant increase compared to the same month in the previous year, with the value rising by more than $12 million, or 3.3 times, and the volume up by 1,600 tons, or 2.5 times.
As per the report, the segment of butter and dairy-derived lipids constituted 0.885 percent of Azerbaijan's aggregate import metrics for the specified month.
Moreover, Azerbaijan's output of butter reached 2,200 tons in January 2025, indicating a 4.6 percent uptick compared to the corresponding timeframe in the previous year.
Concurrently, the national inventory of completed goods was recorded at 14.6 tons as of February 1, 2025.
