BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 15. Azerbaijan produced 4.86 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity from January through February 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the country's Ministry of Energy shows that this figure grew by 3.8 percent, or 178 million kWh, compared to the same period last year when the electricity production reached 4.68 billion kWh.
To note, during this period, thermal power plants (TPPs) produced 4.35 billion kWh, hydropower plants (HPPs) generated 4.11 billion kWh, and other sources accounted for 98.8 million kWh, including 5.8 million kWh from wind power stations, 54.9 million kWh from solar power plants, and 38.1 million kWh from the Waste-to-Energy Plant.
