BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 29. Azerbaijan invested $17.9 million in South Korea's economy in 2024.
Data obtained by Trend from the Azerbaijan Central Bank indicates that this figure represents an increase of $4.4 million or 32.8 percent compared to 2023.
Azerbaijan's capital allocations in the Republic of Korea
represented a mere one percent of the aggregate foreign direct
investment (FDI) landscape for the fiscal year.
Furthermore, the capital influx from Azerbaijan into the South
Korean market reached a substantial $13.5 million in the fiscal
year 2023.
In the context of macroeconomic dynamics, the influx of foreign
direct investments into Azerbaijan's economic framework in 2024
surpassed the $7 billion threshold, reflecting an uptick of $388.1
million, equating to a growth rate of 5.83 percent relative to the
preceding fiscal year of 2023.
Furthermore, within the specified reporting timeframe, Azerbaijan
allocated $1.8 billion in foreign direct investment to
international markets, indicating a substantial contraction of 43.3
percent, equating to a reduction of $1.4 billion relative to the
preceding fiscal year.
