BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 30. The volume of Mexico’s foreign direct investments in the Azerbaijani economy amounted to $5.2 million last year.
The data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) shows that in the reporting year, the share of investments from Mexico in the total volume of foreign direct investments in Azerbaijan was 0.1 percent.
The CBA data also indicates that Mexico didn’t make foreign direct investments in the Azerbaijani economy in previous years.
Foreign direct investments in the economy of Azerbaijan in 2024 amounted to $7.04 billion, which is $388.1 million or 5.83 percent more than in 2023. At the same time, the volume of Azerbaijan's foreign direct investment in the reporting year totaled $1.8 billion, which is $1.4 billion or 43.3 percent less than in 2023.
