BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 1. The volume of the Netherlands’ foreign direct investments in the Azerbaijani economy amounted to $43.2 million last year.
The data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) shows that this figure went down by $145 million (4.3 times) compared to 2023.
In the reporting year, the share of investments from the Netherlands in the total volume of foreign direct investments in Azerbaijan was 0.6 percent.
In 2023, the volume of foreign direct investments from the Netherlands in Azerbaijan was $188.2 million.
Foreign direct investments in the economy of Azerbaijan in 2024 exceeded $7 billion, which is $388.1 million or 5.83 percent more than in 2023. At the same time, the volume of Azerbaijan's foreign direct investment in the reporting year totaled $1.8 billion, which is $1.4 billion or 43.3 percent less than in 2023.
