BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 1. Azerbaijan invested $45.5 million in the Swedish economy in 2024.
Data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan indicates that this figure grew by $28.7 million (2.7 times) compared to 2023.
The share of Azerbaijani investments in Sweden in the total volume of foreign direct investments was a whopping 2.6 percent.
In 2023, the volume of investments from Azerbaijan to the country in question amounted to $16.8 million.
Foreign direct investments in the economy of Azerbaijan in 2024 exceeded $7 billion, which is $388.1 million or 5.83 percent more than in 2023. At the same time, the volume of Azerbaijan's foreign direct investment in the reporting year totaled $1.8 billion, which is $1.4 billion or 43.3 percent less than in 2023.
