BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 2. Customs revenues
for the national budget from January through February 2025
surpassed 1 billion manat ($588.2 million).
Data obtained by Trend from the State Customs Committee indicates that
this figure marks an increase of 58.4 million manat ($34.3
million), or 6.1 percent, compared to the same period in 2024.
During the reporting period, customs duties generated 289.7
million manat ($170.4 million)(19.9 million manat ($11.7 million),
or 7.4 percent, more than the previous year), value-added tax (VAT)
revenues amounted to 682.2 million manat ($401.3 million) (33.1
million manat ($19.4 million), or 5.1 percent, more than last
year), excise duties brought in 38.8 million manat ($22.8 million)
(5 million manat ($2.9 million), or 14.8 percent, more), and road
tax revenues totaled 7.1 million manat ($4.1 million) (371,800
manat ($218,711), or 5.5 percent, more than in the same period last
year).
