ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 1. Deputy Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Alibek Zhamauov, visited the oil refinery of LLP "PKOP" (PetroKazakhstan Oil Products) on a working visit, where he familiarized himself with the progress of a large-scale project at the Shymkent Oil Refinery, Trend reports.
In the course of the visit, Alibek Zhamauov was briefed on the
current activities of the company, including the production
processes. He also toured key facilities of the oil refinery,
including the Catalytic Cracking Complex and the Control Room of
Workshop No. 3.
Special attention was given to the implementation of a large-scale
project aimed at increasing the production capacity of the Shymkent
Oil Refinery from 6 to 12 million tons of processed oil per year.
This project is focused on improving the efficiency of the refinery
and contributing to the development of the country's energy
sector.
LLP "PetroKazakhstan Oil Products" continues to make a significant
contribution to the economic development of the Republic of
Kazakhstan, demonstrating a commitment to innovation and progress
in oil refining.
At the conclusion of the visit, Deputy Minister of Energy of the
Republic of Kazakhstan, Alibek Zhamauov, underscored the importance
of the timely and high-quality implementation of the project to
increase the refinery's capacity.
He highlighted the necessity of adhering to modern technological
and environmental standards, as well as further improving the
efficiency of production processes.
The Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan will continue
to monitor the progress of the project and provide necessary
support.
PetroKazakhstan Oil Products LLP (PKOP) is a prominent oil
refining company operating in Kazakhstan. Established in 1985, its
Shymkent Oil Refinery is the most recent among the country's three
refineries. Located in Shymkent, it holds a strategic position in
southern Kazakhstan, serving both domestic and international
markets.
