BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 3. Azerbaijan imported plastic products and materials worth $484.7 million, totaling around 46,500 tons, from January through February 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Customs Committee indicates that this marks a notable increase compared to the same period in 2024, with a rise of about $7.8 million or 10.1 percent, and in volume, the import grew by nearly 3,800 tons, or 8.9 percent.
This import accounted for 2.05 percent of the country's overall imports in January-February 2025.
On the export side, Azerbaijan shipped around 39,600 tons of plastic products valued at $43.2 million in January 2025, which represents a decrease of roughly $13.9 million, or 24.3 percent, in value and a drop of 26,800 tons, or 40.4 percent, in volume, compared to the same period in 2024.
