BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 2. By the conclusion of February 2025, credit extended to small business firms in Azerbaijan totaled 1.4 billion manat ($823.5 million).
Data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) indicates that this figure represents a decrease of around 51 million manat ($30 million), or 3.3 percent, compared to the end of January.
At the end of January 2025, the volume of credit to small businesses stood at about 1.54 billion manat ($905.8 million).
Meanwhile, as of the end of February, the total business credit portfolio of banks in Azerbaijan reached nearly 14.7 billion manat ($8.6 billion), which marked a 0.5 percent increase, or 68 million manat ($40 million), compared to the previous month.
To note, over 12,026 small business entities have been operating in Azerbaijan since January 1, 2025.
